Darkness

"Of Firelight and Fellowship"

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Author’s Note: This piece was shaped with a little help from AI. It provided assistance on things like the structuring, some names, shortening some verbose language/ideas as I'd written, and gave me the odd turn of phrase here and there.

Where Webs Whisper

Author:
Vratni Copperhand, Legitimate Merchant

A ledger of survival, discovery, and the pursuit of forgotten truths. From the muck and mystery of the marshes to the looming shadows of the Misty Mountains, a fellowship of oddly paired heroes commits to fighting a fight that they know is beyond them, seeking answers, hoping to protect those they love, and some, even keen to find treasure along the way.

A Daughter's Return

Author:

Called home by her father’s will, Naridalis journeys eastward from Bree to Lothlórien. Across wild lands and waning roads, she reflects on freedom, failure, and the grey paths between light and shadow. A tale of sorrow, memory, and choice, as one Elf weighs her place in a world not wholly dark, nor wholly bright.

"By winter, or I will find you in the next world, Wayfarer"

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

I was happy never expecting or making promises.

This one dragged from me, felt important. Yet I do not care what becomes of me now. The stream was my fate; and now my currents carry something to spectacular, ferocious failure... Or success that will heal so much wrong, -- and also break me.

Or... maybe it won't break me, and that would be even worse.

Story

Lissilana had been away from Bree-land for entirely too long. She thought, after having her image of someone she loved, that leaving was the answer. That what happened was a sign for her to leave and do good elsewhere.

As Mornenion could see in the darkness caused by the storm and the men could not, he led the way through the heavy rains. However, he took the wrong path and ended up leading the group up to some steep cliffs, so they had to turn around. It didn't take long to get back on the right path though.

On the brink of the Storm

The Black Steel stopped on a ridge, near the edge of where the storm began. It filled most with fear, with the loud booms of thunder and flashes of lightning. Mornenion scouted ahead to see if there was any dangers ahead, using his fëa to go unseen. He returned, shocking some as he seemed to appear from nowhere, and told that as far as he could see, there was no danger.

Having entered the Woodland Realm, after days of traveling without any sunlight, without feeling a fresh breeze upon the skin, many a wanderer can become an easy prey to madness, despair and tiredness.

Darkness

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The room was fading, darkness surrounding his thoughts. Flashbacks of his family, back in Gondor, they were much younger in these memories, alive even, he could almost touch them. A faint smile came over the old mans face.

His thoughts turned to those in Bree he had met, all of them living life, not a care in the world for Penlard, why would they? He had been gone for weeks, months even. The darkness grew.
