Silwë's Poetry

A Moment Captured and Remembered

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

In the pages of a leather bound journal full of technical schematics and rambling thoughts, there is a charcoal and ochre sketch of an much younger Silwë gazing into the eyes of a joyful, fair haired elleth. She beams up at him in return, and on the facing page, poetry or musical lyrics copied carefully and deliberately, marred by water—a few errant tears.

A Black Leather-bound Journal

Author:

A personal journal containing the personal notes, writings, and art of the Jewelsmith Silwë.

Defiant Still We Honour Thee

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

O Gondolin, awaiting

Beneath night’s endless starry cloak

Thy marble lanes in reverent calm

bejeweled by beads and gems that

Glitter in the silver lantern light

Thy graceful trees in outstretched joy

Greet thee, unfurling perfect tiny leaves

Their gift, their art, to welcome the day

Behold! Night's ink-black sky transformed

before thee, O Hidden city! Thou art veiled
