The absence of Manyamë had taken its toll on the entire family. Orneth, being the caring soul that she was, did all that she could to reassure everyone that their beloved sister had probably lost track of time or was simply enjoying the company of new friends in the settlements to the east. Lady Lanyarë, who was particularly close to Orneth, found great comfort in her words and kept herself occupied with work at the shop.

The Great Sea is known by many names, each evoking a different sense of wonder and awe. For countless years, it served as a sanctuary for the Eldar, offering them safety and protection from the dangers that lurked beyond its shores. However, that sense of security had been shattered, and the once peaceful coastline had become a portent of doom.

For years, Orneth had wandered through the dense woods in silence, but now, as a young lady, she had found solace in the company of the maidens. Meanwhile, Lord Mannamo and his sons scouted ahead, diligently searching for the safest routes for the caravans.

This collection weaves together Lady Orneth's diary entries and my mother Marillindië's notes to share their stories in one place. I have tried my best to preserve and bring life to these accounts, though some pages are sadly missing. My friend Falchwing has also added thoughtful comments throughout, offering another perspective and helping to add depth to the tales.
