Little Light.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The path is narrow, winding gently up-hill through the rich, yet subtle colours of Narbelleth. A bronzed land this - leaves, grass, remaining petals all lightly painted with hues of amber and russet and glowing scarlet. Even under feet that tread so lightly there is a faintest crunch of dried leaves – barely audible save to those most keen of hearing, as the cool-tinged wind changes direction, whips up apace, and blows those same leaves into swirling clouds about our knees.

Parting Gift

Story

I had ridden swiftly from Thamas Lorn to Mithlond, changing horses on the way instead of making my usual halt at Celondim for Suldal to rest. I would collect her on my return journey. With the Mithdirith about to embark on a mission to the north, haste was of the utmost necessity.

Aearandir’s recent words still echoed in my mind as I rode alongside the bank of the Lhun, heading west. “Have you said farewell to all you love, to all you hold dear?”

Of course I had!

...he took my hands, they were warm and he held them steadfast like it was for the last time.
His eyes never looked so clear and deep blue before,  and his face looked so soft under this red sky that colored the water red behind us... The tree branches made a soothing sound that built up a tension in the air. I felt slightly uncomfortable and a little nervous...

He began to speak....prepared words that felt so formal and serious. What did he want?

Of late it seems that time has taken wing, that we who so recently returned to our beloved Thamas Lorn must again make plans to journey far from home.

Onwards we press on..

It seems a great deal has happened since I last attempted to write an entry..

The great gathering at Lin Giliath war was waged and victory was acheived but at a cost..

New friends and friendships found and forged.. I was truely honoured to be amoungst so many noble folk who saught to meet the threat was a humbling and sobering experience.. Some paid dearly for their bravery.. but they will not be forgotten! Twas a marvel to see so many folk from so many backgrounds and cultures stand willingly side by side for a comon cause..

The air has that hint of chill to it that signifies the ‘fading’ is almost upon us. Though warm and bright have been the days of late, come aduial the stars shine in a cold, crisp sky. Some of the bird flocks are seen no longer over Lindon, having started their journeys south, to warmer climes. The land-bound animals’ fur grows thicker, and those who will spend the coming season in deep slumber are searching diligently for a place of safety to call ‘winter-home’.

A Bridge Too Far

Never did I believe that I would find myself comforted among the devices of the Enemy. But here we are, licking our wounds around a campfire among the Enemy's perch, and yet we quietly restrain our sense of triumph with grim thoughts of the coming trials. It's a sobering exercise. I sit here and write all that I can recall before my own unease and fatigue will lose them to sluggishness.

'... the companies ebb and flow alike to tides, each band set out and return as others take their place. The camp quietens, except for the occasional cry where the buisied healers bustle over their charges. We would do well to have thee here with thy arts, but there is one who wins admiration from all. Tall, fair, soft spoken, Galvathalion I believe he is named. Some rumour of a new venom on the blades of the enemy, he and his aides struggle hard to combat it. Yet I am assured they will triumph, for they seem wise in all they do.

Report one; Arrival of Eldar host.

Suilad, Hir Halbarad.

I apologize in delay before sending the first report. The  Eldar host has arrived at Lin Giliath in good order, though it is certain that the Enemy already knows of their coming. Impressive a sight though their waving banners and loud horn-calls might be; it can have done nothing but alert our enemies to their presence.
