Background
My wife Josie passed on a couple of years ago, and our three daughters are all grown up and raising families of their own. I couldn't face the thought of staying inside all alone, so I decided to make a fresh start. I sold our grocery store in Hobbiton to Mr. Lotho of Bag End and bought a little hole south of Waymeet, but I don't stay there often. I ramble through the Shire, stay at my favorite inns, visit my relations, and sometimes even camp out of doors under the stars. My brother Cornel says I'm going dotty in my old age, but I'm just trying to stay busy and happy in my twilight years. I do get my dander up when it comes to ramblers' rights and the loss of the commons, though, so don't get me started on that unless you want an earful!
Lately I've been thinking about hiking out west to see the Elf Towers close up. That'd be a sight, and no mistake.

| Relatives | None |
| Rivals/Enemies | None |
| Loves | Rambling; visiting grandchildren |
|---|---|
| Hates | Greedy landowners; troublesome Big Folk |
| Motivation | Farmers have a right to protect their property and livestock. But ramblers like me have our rights, too. We should be able to walk cross-country from Michel Delving to the Brandywine without having to jump a dozen walls and fences along the way. |
| Quotes | "[H]e is still in love with the Shire, with woods and fields and little rivers. He ought to be comfortable here." - Bilbo |
