Proud of his Noldor heritage, he prefers the company of other Elves, though he holds great respect for the Dúnedain who have been fostered in Imladris. He feels a sense of noblesse oblige toward the mortal races, feeling that since Ilúvatar has so blessed the Firstborn, it is their duty to aid and protect those less favored.

Born in Imladris in the year 1973 of the Second Age, he spent most of his time there learning weaving, smith craft, and swordplay, while idling away the rest reading histories of the Eldar of Valinor and Beleriand. He was especially drawn to accounts of various historical battles and the various strategies employed.

In S.A 3434 he marched with the forces of Gil-galad and fought at the Battle of Dagorlad and participated in the Siege of Barad-dûr. Returning to Imladris he set aside his armor and weapons for many centuries, joining a wandering company traveling the lands of Eriador, particularly Arnor and later Cardolan until once more joining with the forces of Imladris under Glorfindel in T.A. 1975 for the Battle of Fornost.

While often considering making his own journey West, he has decided to remain in Middle-earth to serve as a protector of the Free People who oppose the Shadow, though he often councils to take an active role in opposition.
