Born to a modest farming family, Honeyshine (or just 'Honey') grew up without grand expectations or pressure on her. She loved her family and was happy to work on the farm to help, but she did often feel rather...pent up in the calm life of a farmer. A ball of energy ever since she was a baby, her parents and older siblings often had to watch her to keep her from wandering away. Once she even rode a makeshift raft halfway down the nearby river before her older brother fished her out before she could get too far away and panic her parents...

Things changed, though, when one day when delivering an order to one of the nearby taverns she saw an advertisement for a fighting tournament. Nothing too heavy, a friendly tournament for locals to blow off steam, with a respectable prize pot but mainly just bragging rights on the line. The barkeep was unsure about letting the eager youth sign up, but it became clear she would likely crash the event either way even if she wasn't officially allowed.

To the shock of most, not the least Honey herself, she actually won! Her eagerness and energy compensating for her lack of formal training surprisingly well...That and the fact that despite not looking like much of a brawler Honey seemed shockingly unphased by getting struck in the fight. This soon lead to a genuine passion for the art form, learning the more proper techniques and joining more professional fights. Soon enough she was earning more in the ring than on the farm, able to help her family and cultivate her passion at the same time. She even got to travel to fight, though mainly stuck to the Shire and its surrounding area. She does love her home, of course, and is always happy to return to the family farm to tell about her adventures and the interesting people she's met. To her as long as she can help her family with winnings and see the world around her she couldn't be happier.
