Stubbina, generally known as "Tubbsi" to her family and friends, was born and raised in a peaceful neighborhood in the Westfarthing of the Shire, on the outskirts of Michel Delving, in a large family of Greenburrow hobbits. While not particularly rich, the Greenburrows are respectable hobbits and are known for their beautiful gardens and quality produce. 

Tubbsi took to cooking at an early age, always wanting to help roll out pie crusts before she was even in her tweens. She learned her way around the kitchen easily, having been taught the proper sharpening of knives, care for pots and pans, and preparing of ingredients for all kinds of tasty treats. 

As a young hobbit, while she was often in the garden, by the ovens, or at the market, Tubbsi would sometimes slip away to walk the nearby hills, woods, and farmlands of the Westfarthing. Armed with a couple of sharp cooking knives (just in case), she discovered an abundance of berries. mushrooms, and other wild treats that she would take home and bake into tasty pies, tarts, soups, and stews, much to the delight of her family, neighbors, and friends.

This wandering the woods in search of ingredients awoke a bit of curiosity in Tubbsi, and throughout the years on occasion she would cautiously (and quietly) venture further and further from home in search of new ingredients and recipes to try.

Having moved to her own, snug little hole in Appledell, it became easier for her to sneak away for periods of time on these small adventures. The behavior was not looked upon particularly fondly by her family (not terribly adventurous hobbits themselves), but because she usually had something delicious to offer them when she returned, they  shrugged and generally turned a blind-eye to her unusual wanderings.

Tubbsi became rather handy with the knives, both in cooking and in defense from wild animals and other threats. Though with the innate quiet step of a hobbit she could (and still can) usually avoid bigger threats. Sometimes she'll come across a those in need of a help with some task or another, and will always stop to lend a hand. 

Now, several years later, it's generally known that she will disappear for periods of time and return with all sorts of delectable pies and other treats. Her neighbors regard her as a bit of a curiosity, but as she often supplies them with fresh pies, pastries, and homemade soups, they more or less accept her odd hobbit behavior. 

She is particularly partial to pie.
