Physical Appearance: Cenrys stands around six foot one inches tall supported by a well-maintained, lean physique. On the account of his youthful features and general eagerness to prove himself, he has been affectionately dubbed the 'Fresh-Forged' among his Rohirric kin. Carefree and untamed, yet by no means unappealing to the eye, he usually wears the garments befitting of a warrior of the Mark, chiefly coloured green and brown; bearing the insignia of Rohan. He sports thick wavy hair and a medium groomed beard, both of which are a mixed shade of light brown and red. His eyes are a piercing sky blue matched with quite a pale complexion, although this is known to promptly shift to a reddish hue when either doing battle or drinking wine.

Distinguishing Features: At a glance there is a noticeable, albeit thin scar trailing from the top of his right brow to his cheek; the result of a close call against a fighting Uruk-hai at the battle of Helms Deep. He goes to no effort to hide this, however. If anything he wears it like a badge of honour.

Education: Cenrys is, and remains, a slow academic learner. Whilst his literary skills leave something to be desired, he most certainly excels in craftsmanship, being a highly skilled carpenter and joiner. His father Aelfrys taught him the trade from an early age, in which he has proven himself to be more capable using his hands rather than wielding a quill.

Languages Spoken: Westron

Preferred Choice of Weaponry & Armour: Cenrys carries with him two hand and a half-sized swords, both of which bear tell-tale signs of Rohirric design. He maintains his weapons considerably well, to the point where they seem almost freshly forged. When armoured, he wears chainmail beneath his boiled leathers. On his back he carries a basic bow and quiver, used more for hunting than anothing else.

Special Abilities/Skills: As mentioned, Cenrys is a highly skilled carpenter and joiner who has pledged his hammer to many houses and structures throughout his homeland of Snowbourn. Although he now focuses his attention solely on his martial skill, it is undoubtedly knowledge that will remain.

Background

Born and raised in the east of Rohan within the settlement of Snowbourn, Cenrys was the youngest son of Aelfrys, a former warrior-turned tradesman on the account of a wound that he sustained in battle. Although initially trained as carpenter in his youth, Cenrys was fascinated by his fathers past ventures and the great heroes of Eorl. He would often, provoking Aelfrys' wrath, sneak into his father's room and rifle through his old possessions. On more than one occasion Cenrys was caught wielding his old sword in the fields of the Sutcrofts. Aelfrys knew in his heart that it would only be a matter of time before his son pursued his dream to become a warrior of the Mark.

Faced with the threat of invasion, Cenrys was called to battle along with his fellow comrades-in-arms to defend the innocents of Eastern Rohan. As farms were set ablaze and their people put to the sword on a daily basis, the warriors of Snowbourn were undoubtedly spread thin. Cenrys witnesses horrors beyond counting, and delivered swift retribution in response. No help came from Edoras, for it was rumored that the King's condition had only worsened. Responsibility fell upon the Reeves to manage a counter-attack with very little surviving men to spare. It was when all hope seemed lost that news came from the west that Théoden has made a miraculous recovery and, with it; announced the treason of Isengard.

With this news, Cenrys briefly served as protector of the refugees caravans heading west. The homeless and wounded, those who were unable to bear arms and were ordered to flee to the ancient fortress of Helms Deep. The road was a perilous one with skirmishes occurring all too frequently. It was at the crossing of Kingstead that Cenrys and his comrades were assailed by warg riders. Victory was achieved, but at a heavy cost. Two close friends perished in the battle.

Having struggled on, Cenrys reached Helms Deep with a heavy heart, despair almost taking hold. It was the inspiring presence of King Théoden and his allies that roused his spirit to fight on. Several days past before the might of Isengard was unleashed upon the fortress. Cenrys was positioned on the Deeping Wall beside his kin where he fought valiantly, only briefly faltering against a monstrous Uruk-hai that cut into his face, narrowly missing his eye. He, like those who stood beside him, fought against all odds and eventually emerged victorious. After the battle Cenrys stood within the Hornburg, his armour broken and his sword splintered, in disbelief that he managed to survive the onslaught.

Cenrys endured and resumed the struggle against the darkness, fighting for his country, his people and his King. His exploits that followed were many, leading up unto the Fourth Age of Middle-Earth.
