Airendis is a High Elf of Beleriand. She is the younger sister of Artallas who was born in Nargothrond. Unlike her brother who has a calm demeanor, she had been always louder and more lively.

For the longest of times she had felt like she always needed to compete with her brother, often seeing him as her rival. She disliked his calm, seeing it as ignorance and was even more unnerved by how quickly he was able to learn a skill and master it.

The two grew up rather isolated, with only each other for company and support, so her dislike for Artallas didn’t last long. When he embraced the way of the bow and arrow, she took to arms. Character wise, Airendis is strong and militant, and often favors a "take action" approach to solving problems.

She will usually approve of individuals who are assertive in their efforts towards restoring order. As a moral and compassionate person, she respects the principles of honour, sacrifice, truth and selflessness and finds comfort around those who are kind to others or who go out of their way to help those in need.

Airendis is an adventurous soul, loyal, optimistic, sincere and loving. At her worst she can look unkind and unforgiving, too traditional, and stuck in the old ways of doing things.

Even if she had been given permission to leave Middle-Earth after Sauron was defeated, she refused to. When her brother decided to stay as well, she was more than happy to use that as her excuse to stay.
