Rildheldiel's light laughter echoes in the winds. The young Noldo has pale white skin, long straight shadowy black hair and light green eyes which shine like the young leaves in early springtime. She is a lovely maiden with a star on her brow. Her lips are thin and her nose is nicely curved forward. Her movements are like flowing water.

Background

Part I

She woke up in her silken blue night gown. The Moon was palely hanging in the Sky, over the Sea. Seawinds were running through the pillars of her kin's dwelling, moving the ghost-like draperies aside, embroided mithril catching the starlight. She could hear the faint notes coming from the harps down on the shore. Two minstrels were preparing for their Late Watches performance. The notes were accompanied with the sound of the waves crushing on the rocks.

Rildheldiel always enjoyed listening to the minstrels though her skill for making music and writing songs were always suppressed by her talent in weaving. She was a weaver of sails and many magics into them.

She had been brought up by the tales of yore. Tales of glory about Fingolfin, Fingon the Valiant and Gil-Galad were the stories she loved to hear since the days of her childhood. She always bore the sorrow of the loss of the last King of her kin. She longed for the days of battle and glory in the past days of the Eldar, before she had walked in Middle-Earth. Yet, her soul was not touched either by guilt or greed. She was an innocent child and a white flower of the Havens Grey.

In this very night, the moonlit shore was again filled with the tunes of a song. She let the cool sea-breeze brush her face and run through her coal black hair and a beacon of hope grew in her. The song was the Song of Nimrodel. She walked the pavements and looked up to the Sky. Earendil was high, alight and shining. She followed the hope that had just been kindled inside her.

There was yet time for the Elves, even at this very age of fading, to accomplish many deeds before leaving.

Part II

It came to pass that Galahadlas and Lindeledhriel answered to the call of the Sea and took the ships from the Grey Havens.

After their departure Rildheldiel rode to Imladris. On her way through the autumn leaves and winds she was lone to sorrow, yet the light of Rammirath never left her for Lindeledhriel had bestowed their family heirloom on her daughter before their departure:

"Now the quest is upon you. I shall shed tears for you, tears of joy they will be once I behold your and my brother's sight from the high towers of Tirion."

Thus the leaf shaped pendant resides on Rild's bosom, each jewel on it reflecting the light of each star of Rammirath. She now rides forth to pass this pendant to its true owner, the leader of her mother's house, the long lost elven knight.
