Madeline is a woman of small stature, standing only a few inches over five feet. Raven black hair falls nearly to her waist, thick and straight and usually bound back into a single plait. She prefers robes and gowns of blue or white and is usually dressed as one would be for travel.

She has dark brown eyes, a round face, and cheeks that always appear flushed. Maddie does not tend to carry weapons on her, but her hands are calloused and rough, as though she is used to hard labor. Despite her lithe build, Madeline has defined muscles, broad shoulders, and the appearance of someone who spends a lot of time outdoors.

Her slanted brown eyes and tan skin give away her Easterling heritage, though her accent is a cross between Eastern and Gondorian. Many of her mannerisms and habits also seem to be a mixture of both, as if she lives with a foot in two worlds.
