| Outward Appearance | Ithylwen has pale skin, dark green eyes and long dark brown hair, most often worn loose and brushed smooth. On social occasions, she moves about with all the grace and elegance of her people and she is quite fond of wearing traditional elven dresses in shades of green. When scouting or going into battle, she wears a custom dark version of the armor of the Luindirith that was made just for her... All the better to remain hidden from enemy eyes while she prepares to unleash upon them a devastating rain of arrows from her trusty bow. |

Background
Ithylwen was born in Menegroth, in the kingdom of Doriath. A noble Elf-maiden raised at the royal court of Thingol and Melian, and trained in archery since childhood, she quickly became as deadly with a bow as she was elegant at court.
After the fall of Doriath and the terrible war against Morgoth, Ithylwen fled into the east to safety like many of her people while the lands of Beleriand were being submerged by the Great Sea. She travelled and explored many lands across Middle-earth before finally establishing herself in Eregion.
Alas, the beautiful elven kingdom of Eregion fell to the evil power of Sauron. Ithylwen left that ruined land behind to seek refuge with Lord Celeborn and the Lady Galadriel in Lothlorien. Since then, she has used her skills as an archer to help defend the Golden Wood against any intruders.
