Background
Well, to put it simple - he's a fairly normal Bree-lander who'd usually just rather live a boring life, instead of a dangerous, yet exciting one. So going to unfamiliar places on strange adventures or journeys is not on his to-do list. At least not at first.
His father was a Captain watchman, but was killed by the hands of outlaws. He along with his cousin, Neomund, both continue their father's work. The rest of his family is in Trestlebridge, and any of his extended family is with him in Bree, except for Neomund, who is in Combe. Certainly there must be a little more to this watchmen of Bree...
