Beoferth, son of Adelferth, hails from the home of the Horse-Lords: Rohan. 

Beoferth at a young age was raised in Aldburg, one of the oldest settlements of Rohan, built by King Eorl himself. Spending most of his childhood in Aldburg, he was raised by his parents and taught in the trade of blacksmithing. Apprenticing in his teen years, Beoferth was an acceptable smith under the tutelage of his father. It wasn't until in his late teen years that him and his family made the trek to Edoras. There was he spent the rest of his teen years forging metal into goods to make ends meet.

It didn't take long for Beoferth to start having grand dreams of battle and war, giving his blood to the land he called home. He marched off to find his place in one of the many éoreds, seeking to defend his homeland from the foes of the Rohirrim.

Personally wise, Beoferth was eager at best and hasty at worst. Usually boisterous and quick to make friends. In terms of combat, Beoferth was still rather green. He wasn't exactly the best trained but was still willing to give his best since it was either life or death.
