Nùmendil was the seventeenth Lord of Andùnië, succeeding his father upon his death. 
He was a leader of the Nimruzîrim, also known as Elendili (both terms meaning "Elf-Friends"), and was a friend of Tar-Palantir, the last King of Nùmenor to abide by the will of the Valar. 


The Nimruzîrim referred to the minority faction of Nùmenoreans who remained friendly with the Elves and respectful and obedient to the Valar. They were also called "The Faithful" for their continued devotion and obedience to the Valar. Their most noted leader was Elendil, Lord of Andùnië, who later founded the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor in Middle-earth.


It can be assumed that Nùmendil was a member of the Royal Council and an important Lord of Nùmenor. 
Though the name of his father is not known, his grandfather was Eärendur, the fifteenth Lord of Andùnië. 
Nùmendil was the father of Amandil, who succeeded him as Lord of Andùnië. 


Lucolas Nùmendil is the great grandson of the Seventeenth Lord of Andùnië and still a proud member of the Nimruzîrim.


Only recently Lucolas Nùmendil became the leader of the kinship "The Nimruzîrim" ... a Private Nùmenorean battle force.
