Lelyrien was born in Mirkwood where she lived her childhood years. Her mother was a scout of the guard and her father was a tailor and a woodcarver. Her childhood was mostly happy and relatively uneventful, since the Greenwood had not yet been overrun by darkness.

Lelyrien was a curious child and often brought injured animals home for treatment from her forays into the nearby woods. While she grew the darkness crept over the forest and one day Lelyrien’s explorations took her further away than normal and she ran into a large group of spiders. She managed to fend off most of them but still got badly injured and without the intervention of two elven scouts who had been tracking the spiders she’d have perished. The scouts took her back to the village for treatment and the healing skills of her kin were enough to save her but her wounds were severe and when she had healed enough it was decided that she would travel with her aunt to Rivendell to seek further treatment.

Lelyrien resided in Rivendell for a long time, recovering and studying, but some of the damage was beyond even the powers of the healers of Imladris. Her injuries have not dampened her spirit, she’s still curious and kind person who loves stories and history and wants to travel the Middle Earth. She’s lived with her aunt in Duillond for a long while now, helping her out with her healing practice and developing her own skills in the healing arts and tailoring.
 

The road calls to her, however, and after losing contact with her parents in the Mirkwood some time ago, she’s now traveling back to her birthplace to see what has come of them.
