Relationships (with other family members):

Dickon Peldett (His father) –

Gregory has a poor relationship with his father but that is to say, that is his father, has often been quite “ashamed” of him. For, Dickon, finds nothing within Gregory to be prideful and Gregory didn’t fill his requirements to carry on the occupation which Dickon did himself. As, Dickon was a cobbler or a maker of shoes. While, Dickon wasn’t cruel or unkind to Gregory, he instead ignored him for the most part and favoured Edward (Eddie) over him. This led to Gregory resenting his father.

Flora Peldett (His mother) –

He didn’t have a good relationship with his mother either, in fact, worse. As, his mother would constantly beat or abuse him for numerous reasons – the physical difference in appearance between Gregory and his other siblings for example, his anti-social lifestyle and his addiction for gambling as well as other factors of course. While, Gregory resented his father, he absolutely loathed his mother and he would cherish any and every opportunity to get revenge.

Edward Peldett (His brother) –

As, Dickon favoured Edward over Gregory, Greg couldn’t help but build-up jealousy for his younger brother. Greg has some-sort of good-relationship with him though as the two shares many same qualities as well as hobbies, however the two’s brotherly relationship is often strained by in-fighting, arguments and… “The Incident”.

Qualities, Skills and Traits/Characteristics:

Skills:

• Stealth – With Greg’s ‘isolationism’, he has adapted the ability to simply move around in silence and blend in with his surroundings. This also was well-gifted to Gregory for if he was in “public areas”, he could quite easily ‘slip’ out and avoid social-contact.

• Gambling – While Greg’s addiction towards gambling can be a problem, Gregory knows how to gamble effectively also. He isn’t one to make “rash” decisions and if he is to think carefully and apply both knowledge and tactics into it, then he can be ensured victory.

Traits:

• Stubbornness – At certain situations, Gregory can become quite stubborn which can become a problem for his friends and allies as well as others. This stubbornness can link into many a thing such as his addiction for gambling, as his stubbornness can fuel the addiction making him go further and if it was the case then his stubbornness can turn a victory into a loss.

• Charity – Despite Gregory’s low economic income, he does make sure to give money to beggars in Bree regularly for he pities them and while, he is, by no means rich; he acknowledges the fact that these beggars were forced into homelessness and deserves money moreso over he.

• Envy – As previously stated, Greg is quite envious of his younger brother as his father is fond off him a lot more and Greg wishes he had some-sort of relationship with his father like Edward has.

Personality: Gregory Peldett is a mere grave-digger which certainly, along with his childhood and character traits as well as habits, affected his overall personality. Gregory is a pessimistic, cynical man, whom is anti-social with most strangers and who, despite his flaws and bad-qualities, can be a “good”-enough man.
