Background
Mithloriel was born in the North Downs in the Elven settlement of Lin Giliath. She was only a youth when Arnor was torn apart by civil war, and witnessed the incursion of Angmar into the North Downs. She fought in The Battle of Fornost in TA 1975. She was friendly with the Men of Ost Ardúlin and continues to have friendly dealings with those of their descendents who reside in Esteldin. She also is friendly enough with the dwarves of Othrikar.
She has always done her best to keep Lin Giliath protected, particularly as their library still sees occasional visitors from other Elven settlements. As Lin Giliath has become more and more depopulated from Elves leaving to head towards the West she has ventured further afield, offering aid to the Men and Dwarves who remain in the area. After all, many dark creatures have begun to inhabit the North Downs -- giant spiders have begun to prey upon merchants who stray too far from the paths, orcs have made encampments in what was once Ost Ardúlin as well as in the paths of Nan Wathren, and there have even been sightings of trolls and wargs.
