Falraenn
Falraenn
| Name | Falraenn |
|---|---|
| Status | Active |
| Occupation | Healer, herbalist |
| Age | A young woman, somewhere between 16 and 23 |
| Race | Man |
|---|---|
| Residence | Bree Homesteads, RP's a small house in the forest. |
| Kinship | None |
| Outward Appearance | Name most gone by: Falra, or Fal
Height: 5' 1"
Build: Fal is slight of build. She was severally malnourished until the age of 10, which effected her growth and build. After that, she wasn't fed much better till she was about 13. Then her diet increased dramatically in quality, as her usefulness increased. (But this is another story, perhaps lower down?)
Eye Colour: Blue/Green
Hair Length/Colour: Long red curls. Fal's hair is about mid-rear.
Distinguishing Marks, etc: A very gruesome scar on her right cheek that looked like it was carved into her face by something blunt. If one were to look at it closely, they may be able to tell it is more a mark, then a simple scar. She tends to wear her long hair over the right side of her face to cover the scar. Both wrists have scars due to wear from being repeatedly put in shackles for long periods of time. A long scar on the inside of her right forearm that runs from elbow to wrist. A scar that runs from the top of her shoulder down to her hip, with three protruding outlets from it, the scar seems to follow the mark on Fal's faces, but someone more intricate. A scar on her stomach from a knife, and one on the meaty portion of her shoulder on her back. Falra is deaf, she is able to speak though. Her voice is filled with melody when she speaks. Her words rarely sound quite right due to the fact that she has never heard them being spoken. Many words are spoken the way they look to her when said, some of which she pronounces correctly are due to someone taking the time to correct her on how she says them.
Behavior: Shy and skittish, unless faced with injustice. She will stand between a killer and his prey, even if his prey is much stronger than she is. She has a kind heart and sees the best in people, refusing the wrong or evil till confronted with it first hand. This can lead to some odd moments and a very odd sense of balance with many of the people she draws to her. Fal can also often be seen bringing in furs and meat to those in the poorer areas of Bree and surrounding areas.
Quirks/Eccentricities: Fal tends to draw the more "Evil" crowd to her. As above, she sees the good in them until faced with it first hand.
Education: Highly educated. She has a wide understanding of healing and herbs as well. Mostly self taught through trial and error, lots of error. Taught to read several written languages.
Language: Fal can read the lips of those speaking Westron and Rhoriim. She has a vast understanding of nearly every sign language around, including several of the seedier kinds. She has also developed three languages that use small subtle movements of both body and fingers.
Weapons (If Any): Bow, two daggers. One to three daggers hidden on her person.
((Some of this is subject to change as she grows into her new life as a free woman.)) |

Background
Falra's tale is one to be told in many stories, though I can give you a glimpse into them. Her tale started in Rohan, in Snowborn. Why is this so important, in all honesty, it's not. Just a good place to start. Fal has four siblings, all older than her, all born without defects. For, you see, Falraenn was born with no ability to hear. This meant that not only was she deaf, but she was also what so many thought mute. For her large family, it meant that she was a nuisance. At first her parents simply thought she was a quiet, and very calm baby. As she got older, they soon realized that how she ignored loud noises and people speaking to her was not out of rudeness or an inner calm, but because she could not hear them. This defect meant only one thing to her family, a useless mouth to feed. They saw nothing good that could come of the small child, so they soon took to locking her up out of sight. Telling the neighbors that she had passed, as so many young children do in the wilds of Rohan.
On Falra's tenth birthday she was finally kicked from her home and told to never return. For several days she roamed the town of Snowborn, finding shelter where she could. Hunting for her meals as she did for her family, until removed from it. No one knew who she was, no one knew who she belonged to, or her parents would have suffered for turning her away. One night, Falraenn was no longer curled up in a ball under the hay for the horses at the stable, she no longer took bow and arrow out into the surrounding woods to hunt small game for her sustenance, she just simply was no longer in Snowborn. What happened to her, well you'll have to read the stories below to learn more on that. All I can say is that she lived a life as a slave, a student, a healer, a spy, and a creator of languages of hands. All of this and more will unfold for you as I get time to tell you more tales. Till then, I hope you check with me often.
