Born and raised in Dale, Ulger has always loved, ever since he was a child, to listen to the stories that merchants and travelers told in the tavern: stories of mythical creatures and mysterious places, stories of elves and ancient kingdoms.

His father and his mother did not prevent him to join a caravan when he had reached the age of 14: his constitution was very weak and his body was ill-suited to work in the fields. To his family, Ulger was just one more mouth to feed.

So he left Dale, without any complaint. He traveled long roads, met strange people, lived dangerous situations. For many years he was happy, becoming more strong in body and mind. He studied the ruins of the ancient kingdoms, read ancient tomes and became an expert in the ancient arts. He learned to listen to the voice of the sea, trees and animals and fell in love with all the creatures of Middle Earth.

It has been many years now: Ulger begins to age, his hair are whitening, his face start showing the sign of the passage of time. But now more than ever, in a difficult period in which shadows seem bigger and bigger, feels he has to put his knowledge to the service of those who need it. Even an old man can do his part.
