Merillas
| Name | Merillas |
|---|---|
| Status | Active |
| Occupation | Student of Nature, Map maker |
| Age | Old |
| Race | Elf |
|---|---|
| Residence | Nomad, though she has a hidden home |
| Kinship | none |
| Outward Appearance | Light she is to run through these lands, of brown and silver her hair weaved, arms dominated by restless and curious hands, but deep eyes melancholically wandering to the stars.
Of harmonizing blue and yellow are her garments, drawings of star fields and flowers over fine linen made, agile and loose her clothes must be, to give her the freedom she so loves.
Disguised by a veil when she passes the towns of men, but even amongst her kin she hides, for two memories of burning fire she bears, both of which are under a veil of dreams cloaked.
With a blissful walk she threads a path of eternal wandering, adorned with constant laughter by a voice soft as silk, melody which is born from slightly full lips, in the canvas that is the pearl warmth of her skin. |

Background
Introduction
Even though she was neither born nor raised amongst the elves of Edhellond, they accepted Merillas as one of their own, a travelling scholar with a passion for ales, books and maps. She learnt the art of fishing from a young rebelious Brandybuck, but perfected it with the Lossoth, whom she once visited in a distant past; still, not even they know her true origins, that’s a secret only a small number of elves know, few of them still living in Middle Earth to tell it, for she is an old elf, she is one of the Uinoed.
Brief History of the Uinoed Heritage of Merillas
Habits and Personality
She is an everlasting wanderer, never settling in a place for long and while she has no permanent companion she gladly joins as many people as possible for to share at least a part of their journey, however she must remain secretive and so she usually wears a disguise that covers all but her eyes, trying (almost always with no success) to be taken for a woman instead of an elf.
Initially appearing to be jovial and joyous, she walks in a playful manner, restlessly moving her hands and laughing at most things, inquisitive and of a volatile mind she switches from one subject to another without really concluding any (or so it seems), during conversations she tends to favor questions rather than answers, lightness rather than solemnity, empathy rather than judgment, it happens that many don't get to know her beyond first impressions and just take her for a silly, extravagant elf, not fit for a life of constant motion through the wilds, however she can protect herself, always carrying a light yet sharp sword to defend herself with, however her real strength comes from a secret formula of her people, the Uinoed Flame, a mixture of ingredients for a deadly fire, Merillas excelling in the art of its making, yet she tries not to mix the ingredients for to obtain the most intense of flames, just for one that allows her to escape from her enemies, for she dislikes battle and violence, never having taken away the life of any elf, man, halfling or even a dwarf (though she is not particularly fond of them), only against the threat of the deepest servants of the enemy does she uses the deadliest of fires, a violence she regrets even when necessary.
Besides those few moments when her character changes because of battle, there are also some peculiar occasions in which she turns into a calmer person, when she is alone and under the cover of the stars in the middle of the night, she then gazes at the night lights and starts murmuring to herself, about her people, about her family, about the reason she is not with them and the intense desire she has to do so.
