| Age | Young |

| Outward Appearance | Thin, almost frail, with a narrow, sharp face, Tinuerien often looks distracted. The upturned sweep of her eyebrows draw attention to her deep, emerald green eyes, yet her eyes almost always harbor a vague, distant look. She dresses neatly, but her choice of clothing and color coordination are almost an afterthought, not so well defined as other elves. She gathers her hair in a simple clasp and wears it in front over her shoulder. It is where it invariably falls when she reads, and it has become her way of keeping it out of the way. With only the slightest of effort, she could be quite beautiful, but her thoughts reside in a different realm, on far more serious matters. |

Background
While other elves gravitated toward bows or music or those other various pursuits that elves tend to follow, Tinuerien buried herself in books. Inspired by her father's old tales, she found the ancient past fascinating and placed herself at every turn in position to learn more and acquire more books to fill her ever growing library. While Eriador was still at peace, long before the encroaching shadow, she walked the broken streets of Annuminas and stood before the tombs of Men Erain. In Rivendell, an assistant to Lord Elrond taught her how to harness the powers of the earth and sent her back to Ered Luin with books to help her in mastering this knowledge.
She continued her studies while serving as a Book keeper's Assistant. But around her home of Duillond, things were changing. Fell creatures were encroaching into their lands, creatures they had not seen for a long time. Many others thought of them as just monsters and wondered where they came from. But Tinuerien knew better from her vast store of knowledge. When they told her there were giant spiders in Rath Teraig, she knew where giant spiders had come from in the beginning. The Goblins and the Dead in Haudh Lin told her the same thing. Evil was stirring. Ancient evil that had been long forgotten. With great care, she began to venture out and learn what she could about it. She has had to harness her powers of the earth to fight against it, but she has begun to learn. With the small bounties she has won in the process of her quest, she has been able to relinquish her job as assistant. Now she is free to travel wherever her quest may take her.
