Born in a small village southwest of Dilgul in Gathod, south of the Sea of Rhûn, Alkham was raised in a society untouched by the hatred of Gondor.

When Sauron began to muster his northern and southern allies, the Balchoth of Mistrand sent word to all the villages in the area to send their men to fight.

The majority of the villages complied, except for Alkham's and a small confederation of others, in which almost all agreed they had no desire to.

Upon hearing of this, the ruthless Balchoth, men rumoured to retain ties to the Dark Forces ever since the first War of the Last Alliance, sent out a force to wipe out Tirusalam, Alkham's village.

The men and women of the Village, Alkham among them, fought against them but were heavily outnumbered. However, in the midst of the battle, help arrived; the Blue Wizards came. Morinehtar rushed down the dune and helped fend off the attackers with his Bow and Magic, while Romestamo mustered the people for evacuation.

Alkham and a few others aided Morinehtar in fighting before their numbers became too thin and they were forced to retreat.

Once the Blue Wizards went parted ways to continue their campaign against the Easterlings, Alkham went with his people to peacefully submit themselves to the Vale of Dorwinion.

They were accepted and their community dispersed amongst already existing settlements.

However, Alkham left for the west, having been inspired by the wizards to battle against the Darkness of Angmar, which they knew caused a great threat.

On the first month, Alkham made it to Othlebed. On the fourth, he reached the great River Anduin. On the Sixth, he travelled quickly and quietly through the lands of Rohan. On the eighth month, he travelled through the Dunlands, occasionally skirmishing with Dunlendings. On the ninth month, Alkham crossed the river at Tharbad. On the tenth, he reached Bree.

He was initially suspected of being a Spy of Sauron, having to bribe the guards the last of his money to be free. From here he began making connections and joining the fight against the rising darkness that cast a shadow over the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth.
