Gylas

Gylas Finchley, known as Finch.
| Name | Gylas |
|---|---|
| Occupation | Travelling scholar |
| Age | Thirty-Four |
| Race | Man |
|---|---|
| Residence | Traveller. |
| Kinship |
| Outward Appearance | Gylas stands a cats whisker under 5'9 inches tall. His build is of the average man allowing him to be agile enough to evade in combat whilst returning in kind. His hair is chestnut brown in colour, with strong hints of ginger, though very little of it remains. Only the odd coarse, willowy strand or two when found ungroomed. Whenever possible, he keeps both his head and his beard fully shaven leaving only the sharp shadows of his receding hairline. He seems to have a constant frown lightly imprinted upon his face, which is aged beyond his years, and combined with the odd scar or two he usually comes across as a rather dull, serious fellow.
His accent is quite gruff, yet not deep. Some would describe his speech as lazy as he seems to have picked up many slang words from his travels. His accent becomes more noticable once angered which causes him to sound more like a lumberjack from Trestlebridge. Coarse in tone and in words. |

Background
"Guy-Lass Finch-Lee"
Born in Trestlebridge thirty-four years ago. He was raised on Old Graces Farm along the Greenway with a handful of other orphans. His upbringing was rather simple, no drastic deaths or anything unordinary. He's little knowledge of his family, though thinks of a man named Fenn as his brother as the two were delivered to the farm on the same day. They were close until their teenage years when they fell apart over arguments and fights breaking out over the love of a woman named Illerria.
As time goes on, Gylas eventually begins to travel south and through Bree-land. He takes up odd jobs whenever he could find them until being taken under the wing of a treasure hunter by the name of Rolen whilst in his late teens. Rolen claimed to see a spark of himself in the young lad, and proceeded to teach him little nuggets of lore and value through Bree-land and further afield.
Gylas and Rolen travelled far and wide together, though Gylas would often return home to Trestlebridge to visit Fenn and his family. They'd had a daughter, Lleria, during his time travelling. Gylas soon grew close to the young girl, helping to raise her whilst Fenn and Illerria travelled.
After Rolens 'Retirement' from the business, Gylas' continued to work commision's through his contacts. The two would often joke that Lleria was the same as Gylas, more balls than brains, and forever getting their guardian into trouble.
Rolens commisions keep Gylas afloat with coin for the most part, but he's been known to sell his sword to the occasional guild or cause due to the unreliable nature of Rolen's letters. He can often be seen followed round by a boy-ish looking teenage girl, to which he claims to be guardian or step-father of, whose name is Lleria Finchley.
