Here I walk, in this fair forest
Among fallen leaves of Green and Gold
There I walk and seek for rest
And seek for knowledge, Free and Old.
Wearily I walk and seek for rest
Where can I find my sweet dreams?
Where is the place for weary traveller
For I want to sleep and forget.
I lay down and think
What do I miss when I blink
Did I see her dancing
Her golden hair waving.
She went away
And I shall stray
Sky is grey
Should I stay
We made promises
We swore our love
We shall not leave
Until we meet
But if we overcome
the Shadow of the East
Should we stay
If there is light and day
In Middle-Earth I want to stay
For I love these lands
It's wilds and briers
And trees and fires
Those are my thoughts in my mind
Do not laugh, do not mock
For this is true, not laughing-stock
I have my troubles, you have yours.
