After the terror that was last night's attack, Eira and Nimraph fled. They were at Goldgel's brothel, seeing as neither were likely to go to such a place. Goldgel, of course, treated the couple like royalty. They got the best food, best accommodations. Goldgel even got her better armor than she had before. Really, the only thing that wasn't so great was only having one bed. Even then, she felt a strange anticipation. Now, with Goldgel and Nimraph talking elsewhere, Eira stepped out from the changing curtain wearing her new armor. The assistants who had helped her were clustered around the room. This was the first good set of armor she had been adorned in since... that place... in fact, this armor is better than anything from that place. She stepped out from the dressing screen, hood down, holding a sheathed Camcalar in her hand. Leaning against the wall was her newly gifted staff.
Meanwhile, Glandaron strode through the building. He seemed to be visiting the place for its actual purpose. He could be heard chattering loudly to a woman, his voice carrying easily.
Eira heard a familiar voice, it... it could not be... Her eyes widened. She turned to the assistants, telling them to stay in this room. She strapped Camcalar to her waist and grabbed her staff for the first time. The Numenorean stav fit well in her grasp. She steps out into the courtyard, hoping she is simply hearing things...
Glandaron seemed utterly unaware that Eira was there. His arms were folded over his chest. He was dressed as a 'nobleman of Gondor'.
Eira turned and gasped. It... it was... She paused, staring, unaware of what to do. Get Goldgel? Nimraph? She turned to make sure the attendants were in the room then took a step towards her old enemy, lifting a hand to her mouth and clearing her throat.
Glandaron paused and looked over. He shooed the girl he was talking to away. The woman looked at Eira, a glint of steel in her hand as she slipped away from Aron. Aron looked over at Eira, smirking and folding his arms. "So, you're a working girl now, eh? How much for you for the night." He sneered.
Eira glared, "Enough with the insults. You reported me, did you not?"
Glandaron stalked forward, resting his arm on the doorframe, "I did indeed. Rumors say you are with another deserter."
Eira sneered, a hint of someone far darker than the timid, sweet girl everyone knew there. She bit her lip, terror slipping through her mind. Was she the reason Nimraph had been caught? She refused to let it show, however, she had lied with her face for many years and continued to do so. She reached for her sword hilt, answering discreetly, "I should have killed you the last time we met. Cannot trust an elf to do a human's job."
Glandaron reached to pull his left glove off his arm... He had no left hand and was missing part of his forearm, "He tried."
Eira, no Aglarari, smirked. She threw the staff to the ground with force and power. "It will be my pleasure to finish the job he started."
She reached back and pulled off her hood, revealing her jet-black hair. "You are not facing some scared Nurnhoth girl or timid innkeeper tonight. You are fighting Aglarari. And you know Aglarari's rage when insulted..." She reached down and swiftly drew her Westernesse sword from its hilt.
Glandaron had an ugly looking hook replacing what was once his hand. He smirked and pulled his warhammer off his belt, "Nor are you facing some honorable ranger tonight."
Aglarari smirked, "Good."
Glandaron lofted his warhammer up and charged at Eira, swinging hard. He had been working as a blacksmith the last several years and it showed. Aglarari tossed her sword into the halfswording technique, using a steady grip of the sword with her hands to block the blow. She shoved the hammer back, tossing her sword hilt into her hand and aiming to stab Glandaron's side. Camcalar's icy blade shone true.
Glandaron snarled as the blade sunk into his side. He staggered back and brandished his hammer. Aglarari swung the blade through the air, droplets of blood spraying the grass, then bolted forth, Camcalar in both hands, aiming a cut for his chest with the wrath guard. Glandaron was slower than he anticipated with only one hand. He got thrown back, slumping against the stone wall for a moment, his chest sliced open.
Aglarari grinned, vengeance shining in her dark oak eyes. She stepped forward, lifting a boot and slamming it onto the wall beside him, lifting her sword, "For all the insults! All the tarnishing of my fa-my reputation! For reporting me now, and even putting the people I love in danger!" She aimed a killing blow, no hesitation on her face.
Glandaron jerked his hammer up to stop her blade, the clang of steel on steel rang out across the room. Aron grinned maliciously, "I won't die so easily."
He pushed her off of him. Aglarari staggered back. Her eyes narrowed, "So it seems."
Glandaron grinned wolfishly, swinging aggressively down at her. She side stepped, trying to simply dodge the blow.
From down the halls, Goldgel and Nimraph heard the noise. As they came to investigate, Goldgel caught Nimraph's arm, murmuring, "Let her win."
Aglarari stepped aside, light footed, as the hammer hefted through thin air. Glandaron went with the momentum of his hammer when it went, turning to face her with a smirk. She switched to using Camcalar with one hand, whipping her dagger from her gauntlet. She darted forth, screaming a scream of hatred and pain, aiming to throw his hammer aside with one weapon and drive the other into his very heart.
Glandaron headed for her again, swiping with both his hook and hammer.
Of course, she knew better than to let the hook catch one of her blades, she swerved aside, shoving her dagger into the hammer, throwing it off. A hiss of defiance seethed from her as she aimed her knife for his neck, sword for his chest. He rebounded with his hammer and blocked her sword, he used his hook to push her knife away. Unfortunately, this left his defenses down.
She had both hands tied. The discipline of Aglarari's training turned to the feral rage beat into her by her father. She tried to keep his weapons back with her own, lunging with her mouth, aiming to bite his throat. Glandaron had not expected that, and the shock was clear on his face when her teeth latched on his neck.
Aglarari's blind rage flurried. Blood droplets flew and fell like rain. She bit down and tore his jugular from Glandaron's throat. Blood splattered hard against the grass as she bit down on the bloody pulp before spatting it out, turning to face the damage she caused.
Glandaron had crumpled to the ground, dead before his body hit the ground.
Goldgel stood in the doorway, not even phased. Neither was Nimraph, who stood beside him. Goldgel shrugged, "He wasn't going to leave this building alive anyways."
Blood dripping from her mouth, the feral eyes of Aglarari looked down, her frame still half hunkered, at the dead body. She panted heavily, weapons still in her hands, which shook ever so slightly. After a long moment of hoarse breathing, she dropped her weapons and fell to her knees... she had won. Revenge was her's. And revenge felt strangely sick, like the iron blood in her mouth. Yet, it was sweet as well.
Nimraph stepped forward, murmuring, "Eira?"
She looked up to Nimraph, the personality of Aglarari at the forefront just long enough to see. The look of hatred and sorrow, victim hood and victim maker, all rolled into one. Yet, her eyes softened as she looked up to him, the blood spewing from her mouth and down her chin and jaw. "I did it..."
Nimraph knelt down, cupping her chin in his hand, "You did, you fought well. Let us get you cleaned up." He leaned in to kiss her, not phased. He did earn the nickname Blood-drinker after all. Eira smiled at this touch and kiss, whispering, "We can do this... I... I forgot how strong I was..."
Couple on the ground, Nimraph held her tight, "You are incredibly strong. I know this."
He rose up, offering her a hand. Eira took his hand with a strong grip, standing tall beside him. For the first time in ages, she knew what confidence felt like. She turned to face Goldgel, an amused smile on her face, "Did you miss her?"
Goldgel smirked and nodded, "Quite a lot..."
