Day One: Intercepting Orcs Near Weathertop

Day One. Daytime:
After arriving in the Lonelands, the group is debriefed outside the Forsaken inn. They see Weathertop (where there will be orcs attempting to make a foothold) from a distance. Airodir scouts for numbers, and Ryheric takes part of the group ready and present to get a better idea of what they are up against. They start out in the afternoon, leading into dusk of DAY ONE, deliberately choosing a time when night will fall to ensure they are getting the proper scope of orc/goblin activity.

Day One. Evening/night:

Ryheric leads the group in the Lonelands while Airodir scouts. Tarsorel, Winnie and Lav scout down the road to see if it's clear of orcs. They find some well equipped (but thankfully scattered) scouts. Meanwhile, Ryheric hastily rides north and closer to Weathertop as day turns to evening. He finds a defensible position they can take to regroup. To do this, however, they will need to face two camps of these foreign orcs between the road and the new defensible base. Tarsorel, Winnie and Lavendara report on the scouts they'd seen. Ryheric makes the decision the scouts should not be pursued for the moment. Rather the main groups at these camps should be taken down. The group fights at the first orc camp and takes down two orc chieftans. Glotzik The Mighty and his second in charge, Truvvo (whose name was never learned) along with ~40 orcs. By the time they finish defeating these orcs after a challenging fight with the chieftans and underlings, the second smaller orc camp is suspiciously deserted. One lesser goblin had escaped the first fray, suspected to have run off and warned the second camp. The third chieftan, as such, is missing. On the bright side, they secure their new base. They have found one merchant who was a tortured, beaten orc prisoner. He is currently given a place to rest in their camp. He is only semi conscious and delusional. Some poor traveling merchant whose name is as yet unknown.
