Life has settled into regular normalcy at the Inn. Though Fenley says that Margot and Miss Eugenie are perhaps unhappy to have him there, they have said naught to me, and the Inn has remained as peaceful as ever (no pun intended). I'll be the first to admit that I enjoy having my brother back around the Inn, seeing him sitting at a table, or working quietly on something. It's hard to imagine that he's the only family I have left now after spending so long with him away.
I met one of his friends in the Prancing Pony, a fancy-hatted man named Arthur. I've taken a liking to him quickly, which Fenley soon picked up on, of course. I teased him about a woman leaving from his bedroom a few days ago, but it appears I stumbled into something I didn't know much about. I could tell that Fenley was pretending to act as if nothing was happening when a man named Caein joined us at the bar, but he all but stormed away when I said the name of the woman who'd been with Fenley. It's not my business, and I was immediately regretful over the encounter.
A few days before that, I made the acquaintance of a woman named Belfry. I really liked her a lot quite quickly, I must confess. She's seeking work, and I offered her some at the Inn, which she truly seemed happy for. We tried a number of different ciders at the urging of a man with us at the counter, but I would have to say that they all taste exactly the same to me. I've been looking for her again whenever I visit the Pony, but I haven't seen her again. She wanted to meet Fenley too but I think anyone who we both know is always more taken with him than with me. He speaks all as he does and everyone loves that about him.
That makes me sound bitter, but I'm truly not.
