Journal of an Outcast - Surprises

We never thought for one minute that things would turn out like this. It has come as a suprise to us both, but a pleasant, very-much welcomed one. We took a trip to the North, to replace bad memories with good ones and we have succeeded; that day shall remain in my heart forever.

A dance. That is how I surprised her next. I do not know what came over me, but I took her gently and began to dance, surprising both her and myself, for I had never danced before. And then we went into town. Abrianna wanted to buy herself some new clothes and I accompanied her to a shop where I jokingly suggested this horribly tacky red dress. She simply laughed, said it was not my colour and proceeded to purchase the goods she had selected.

A bucket of fresh water, that was what she requested in order to show me why she was so nervous. So the water I did retrieve and upon my return, my heart skipped a beat. I was weak and helpless. Utterly at her will as I beheld her there, beside the table. She had bought a dress. A beautiful one too and I could not find the words so I merely stood there, dumbfounded and breathless. From the green colour of its bodice and skirts to the burgundy ribbon at her waist; she was perfect. It only took a little amount of persuasion to convince her that it was lovely.

I love her. She is mine and I yet remain the luckiest man alive. What did I do to deserve her?

She wears your ring, Mother.. And we are as one.
