Patient: Man, female, adult
Symptoms: Cut on the ear - earring
Treatment: Earring removed, cut cleaned
Meeting:
Miss Blackburrow visited with an injury to her right ear. While she came seeking master Maddoct for help, I offered to treat her. Minor damaged caused by a cat managing to hook its claws into the jewelry. The earring was removed and the wound cleaned. She's been advised to avoid wearing the jewelry for no less than a week.

Patient: Man, female, adult
Symptoms: Unable to use fingers proper, little strength in the hands - Possible muscle damage
Treatment: Simple exercises to try and strengthen the muscles
Meeting: When she's able between now and when she leaves
A woman arrived to have her wrists and forearms examined. According to her, she suffered damage to both forearms - below the wrist. A blade struck both, possibly damaging the muscle. Her bones seem undamaged.
I've given her a simple exercise to try and strengthen her fingers and will be designing a couple of others that can be added to the routine. She has told me she'll be leaving for some trip and may be away for up to two months. I'm uncertain if we can see much improvement before that time, making it impossible to tell whether it shall be of help or not. I've instructed her to do the exercise as often as she's able during the day. With luck, there shall be some signs of improvement before she departs.

I've managed to get a decent night's rest. While the hour was late when I fell asleep and the sun barely up when I woke, I didn't stir every other hour during. It was constant. I know the reason, but it's harder to know the answer to why. Everyone has something that brings them some peace, I suppose this is mine. I'll need to be vigilant so that I avoid becoming dependent on it.
The talk I had with miss Blackburrow was decent and the worries I had have been removed. From what I could understand, the woman is in a good place; happy, safe and healthy. I no longer have to keep her in thought, knowing that she is well.
There was concern when Ruevir returned, but she surprised me. Rather than stirring trouble, she apologized to the patient for previous behaviours. It was rather odd when miss Blackburrow tried to blame Ruevir for what had happened, when it was the woman's own choice. I don't understand the logic, but even with such, Ruevir kept her temper in check.
It's impressive to see how far she's come and I feel proud at the growth I've witnessed in her. I should make sure to tell her so. She continues to learn and her future seems ever brighter. Still, I can't stop thinking of what she said, that maybe the treatment did alter her mind. That they were right. What if this change isn't by her own choice and determination, but because I've unknowingly been sculpting her mind after my own design? This thought is unsettling and one that continues to haunt me. My greatest push forward in a long time and it may all be for naught. Not a cure, only a control of another one's mind. It leaves a bitter taste of failure, but mistakes are made to be learned from.

* Tidy up
* Visit the town for some baking supplies
I'm still unable to place that woman's face. She came by for an examination, it was the same one from the Harvestmath gathering. In hindsight, I should have asked her name, I'll have to remember next time. Perhaps that will aid me. I made mention of it, but she doesn't believe we've met before. It has to have been something else than a meeting in passing, I'd have no reason to remember her face otherwise.
If she visits again, I'll have to try and ask her a few questions to try and find the reason for this familiarity, it won't stop bothering me.
Mister Aeruthuil has brought some lumber that I've put away. He seems to be healing well, though I've had little time to care for the man proper. I was able to speak with him for a short moment before the patient arrived. I'll have to try and catch him again later, check on his wounds and speak with him further. He's been decent company and a distraction. Maybe he'll have interest in meeting with miss Plumwood, should I find time to speak with Remdir and make way to the tavern for a drink or meal. I'll have to check on Fiontann about that hunting as well, whether there are plans to go or if he's gotten caught up planning his market.
I've gotten enough together to buy what'ss needed to fix the roof. I'll have to visit the Boarding House across the street soon and see if master Tumunir is around and if he has health to repay what he owes. I'm still uncertain about master Yurri and if I shall ever get any payment from him. I gave my word to master Maurr that I be considerate in regards to these two, but with all that is happening, it's hard to look the other way. The cane I gave was expensive and has set me back further to give it away free of charge. I can't raise my prices any higher or I risk losing those that still come. I'm thankful now that I didn't consider buying a larger building, the savings I've kept from that are keeping me above water for now.
If the endurance potion I've crafted for mister Sig has any effect, it might be something to bring business back. I'll begin testing it tonight and if all goes well, I shall send him a letter about it.
