Log 1: Entry 15

My mind is still a blur. The lack of sleep has disrupted my memory of all that happened.
Miss Sol's cuts have healed and I've hired another assistant, mister
Toremund. With his skills towards carpentry, we might be able to construct this wheeled chair that mister Bíld wrote about. It would allow miss Silver to move further than she's able to now, if it will work.

Miss Jackilyn visited again and brought the cake she had promised. It was far too sweet for my liking. I'm still uncertain whether it was the sweetness or the lack of food, but I needed to excuse myself when I felt the piece coming up again.
In my attempt to avoid upsetting the woman, seems I've done the opposite. My poorly constructed lie has made her believe that I would rather spend my time with a creature I despise than to stay in her company. This isn't what I planned.

She's told me of a cook that may be seeking work. She'll extend an invitation to misses Dumpling to come see me. If all goes well, I'll have a cook.

Mister Bíld arrived late, but in good health. He met with his brother the night before and has informed me that there have been changes to their plans. I'll not have to worry about him leaving too soon. This will give him, and myself, a chance to learn further.
I've left him to study the corpse on his own. I'll go over his report later after I've rested.
