Sir Cowhorn returned with a body from the Barrow Downs, as he claims. As suspected, it wasn't moving, just old and withered. I gave him payment for the corpse, it can still be used for teaching. I'll send a letter to the Undertaker and let them know that I'll be sending them a body soon.
Patient: Human, male ? young adult
Symptoms: Lack of sleep, irritation, aches, delusions, mood swings
Treatment: Sleep Potion
Meeting:
I was visited by mister Rue. When asked what was wrong, he answered only by saying "fix me". I tried to pry further into the matter but, he wouldn't tell me much. He told me that "She" watches and that he cannot sleep because of it.
He threatened me with a knife, his anger showing and continuing to insist that I would "fix him." With a promise that he could have a dreamless sleep, he calmed down and allowed me to work.Valerian and Morning Glory seeds were ground up into a semblance of tea.

Thankfully, mister Bíld arrived at a fortunate time. While I worked on the potion he was able to calm him down and have the man relax enough to drink the potion once it was ready. He was able to understand the man in a way that I was unable.
I may need to take an example from mister Bíld and watch him more closely while he interacts with patients. There are things I can learn.
After mister Rue had fallen asleep, I proceeded with a lesson for mister Bíld, using the corpse I have in my possession. Amputation, an important skill to learn.
I showed him how to sever flesh and offered him to continue through the bone. He broke down. It was surprising, but after hearing his reasons, I think I can understand.
* Ask him to write a summary about the flesh-sleeve method
I tried to comfort mister Bíld but I'm not sure how successful I was. Miss Jackilyn appeared and I think she managed to sooth the dwarf better than I ever could.
She has brought over a new platter for me to use, and a large bundle of herbs that she collected, resulting in nettle stings.
I'm still uncertain what happened, but in the midst of this all, I suddenly felt useless. I questioned myself and doubted. Thoughts and questions rushed through my head until I couldn't bear it any longer and stepped outside.
I'll have to try and figure out what the cause of this was but the fresh air helped. Miss Jackilyn's presence and words aided me as well, even if it has brought on more questions.
Father often talked about the war between reason and emotion. I might be starting to understand his words and what he meant. It will have to be studied further.
Miss Jackilyn has been given a salve for her burns and miss Silver has been allowed to open the window near her bed to allow the horse to visit her.
If it breaks or damages something, I'll be adding it to her over all bill.
I've gone over mister Bíld's idea from his report and will have to get further details. If this is something that can be built, it might give miss Silver an opportunity to move rather than being stuck in bed for the next two months.
Mister Zeylheim has been doing good work keeping the infirmary clean. Seems he's been coming in to do his work while I'm occupied in the study, his visits have gone past me. He shared a cup of tea with me and miss Jackilyn, he's gotten skilled in preparing the beverage.
The woman has promised to bring a cake for us. I haven't had that since I was a child, it should be a delightful treat for myself and those of the infirmary. Mister Zeylheim appeared excited, at least.
As we spoke I've realized I may need to hire more people. I'll have to keep a close eye on what I spend my coin on.
