Hûd Eledhrim, 42 ethuil

To Parnard of Mirkwood:

I know not whether this missive shall reach thee, mellon, so many years has it been since last we were together. Still, until I receive word that thou hast set sail for the West, I shall continue to hope that we shall once again imbibe the dryest of Sogadan's stock together!

After spending what seemed like an age in the former lands of the Witch-King, I returned to Imladris. One day there was a gathering at the Hall of Fire, with music and some dancing, and some merry jests. A charming, sprightly maid, Aurthiel, played some lovely tunes on her lute, and I met some members of the kinship Vanimar-- perhaps known to you? Nenrildë one was called, and her friend Eirulisse, and Linchil, whose courtesy made this stranger feel comfortable.

There is a new assistant in the library, who overcame her shyness to join us, named Raenamor, and a bolder ellon who seemed much taken with her, named Celebrig. It was a pleasant interlude in a troubled time, indeed.

Yours as ever,

Naerrin
