Thoughts of past deeds

As Kristophor laid against the tree, he thought of his time with the blades and how they have given him so thought to how he performs his duties in protecting Bree. He thought back to the time, a he had a man who assaulted a few patrons at the pony with a knife. Kris had deemed him a threat, he caught the man by the ally and then the man’s wife had also caught up. Kris had him on his knees and sword to his throat. She pleaded and begged, asking for Kris to understand his frustration and let them leave Bree because soon they expected a child. The man smiled even in the position he was in, and he pleaded and promiesed he’d never return. Kris however stayed silent and stared at the woman with a cold and emotionless stare as he simply ripped his sword across the man’s neck in the ally. He let the bleeding man fall, and he just turned around and let the screaming woman run to him. To Kris, he did what was needed..he neutralized a threat to Bree but now he sits in thought wondering if he could of shown more mercy, just let the man go with the woman. He thinks back to another time, this woman with a dog approached him at his spot by the pillar in the pony, she handed him a note..in the note were crushed flowers and words “you’ve been warned” Kris saw them and the only thought that came to mind was the flowers he laid on his brothers and Gwaeds grave. He only saw red as he followed the woman to the back. He didn’t heasitate and he grabbed her by the throat, slamming her against the wall. He pulled out his sword and her dog immediately bit his leg, he barely looked down as he brought his long sword down on the dogs head, the body fell and twitched and the girl began to cry, saying she was told to give him the warning that she was alone and this group who told her to do it said it was her initiation into their fold. Kris didn’t listen as he choked her more, she couldn’t scream and he just slammed his blade through. He then let her body go and cut her head off. He left the bodies on the ground and went out the back door. Could he of chosen a more merciful decision for her? He doubts himself now, thinking back to those times. She was a foreigner and probably alone, she just wanted protection and to belong, he could of gave her wisdom yet he only saw her as a threat to Bree, a threat to his promise to protect its people. Kristophor watched the night sky and coughed, still putting scenarios through his mind and trying to figure out if he made the right decisions or if he was too absolute in his judgement.
