Everyday. I find myself at the fountain after I place the flowers at the graves. The fountain in front of the pony. At this point I could sketch out the stone completely, down to the last crack. It was where I vowed to myself I’d protect Gwaedhiell. I had no purpose when I came to Bree at first, I simply just watched people. The day came that she came back to Bree though. Her long dark hair..blue eyes reminding me of the sea. The same face I knew as a child as we played in the streets, getting into trouble and staying out late. She was followed by people, people trying to hurt her. I remember when I caught the man..I felt the heat on my ears, I felt a pressure behind my eyes and I saw red. Gwaedhiell went to the fountain and left me with the man. No hesitation..and I left him and returned to Gwaed. There I vowed myself to protect and stay by her side. No matter what the cost was to me. Even as I sit her I can still smell the perfume and spice she smelt of. The way she could take my hand and I felt I could perhaps have a normal life again, she took my out of my walls and introduced me to people. Now though, her memory is just a reminder of my failure. Now all I have is the grave with no body and the stone on thy fountain. The stone she sat on and gave me the sweetest smile, where we agreed to stick together. Where I promised I’d do everything to keep her safe..where I promised she’d not have to worry about getting hurt.
