"Well aren't you going to open it Andreth?" Gildor asked.
I will in time. I just don't want to be hasty. Did you bring to me more sorrow or a little bit of happiness, Gildor?" Andreth replied. "I... I just need little time to prepare and weigh possibilities ahead. I really wanted to leave and now you are here with your wooden box."
"Very well then I will let you alone now and come back at dawn on the morrow. Either way you depart from Grey Havens. Whether it's to the West or back with me this burden lays on your shoulders. Know this I will aid you whenever and however I can my friend. May the evening star always shine on you path." Gildor bowed and silently departed from Andreth's room.
Andreth was staring at the strange wooden box with dwarves' carvings. "Come on Andreth why do you hesitate? It can be something which will take you back on the track to find Amreth. Yes, you lost all your hopes to find Amreth again and now look at your pedant. It is alive again." Andreth's pedant was giving faint whitish sparks within. Andreth came back to the table and slowly opened the wooden box.The silvery-white light increased its brightness and it grew stronger and stronger. And then sudden flush of darkness swallowed all the light in a split of moment. It was dark all around. There was no shape to be seen, no faint reflection of distant light. Just pitch black. Then arrived very muffled sounds to Andreth's ears. She couldn't recognize what was it. Then Andreth felt as she was moving fast towards unknown destination and the sound transformed into laughter, occasional screams and unpleasant orcish speech in common tongue.
"So she-elf you see you are now property of my master. Give up all hopes because when he is through with you you will hate your kin even more then you hate us. Yes, yes he has special purpose for the once like you. You see, oh you most definitely see. But before we deliver you to him we will have fun ourselves. Besides my master doesn't know how damaged you were when we captured you.I have heard that you elf folk can heal from most grieve injuries. So lets find out." A loud scream pierced the air. And then soft voice was heard: "Why don't you just kill me you filthy creature? You will safe yourselves pain when I get free of my cuffs!!!"
"Hahahaha, I like your spirit she-elf. We are strong now here in Naerost. So safe your threats for someone else. And here is your reward for the big mouth yours."
Andreth felt she stopped moving in a dim lit place. She saw a small group of crooked figures in semi-circle surrounding elf bounded to Y shaped like wooden log buried in the earth in the midst of ruins of some sort of fortress. Andreth adjusted her eyes and then she saw her. It was Amreth. "My poor sister is tortured by those orcs!"
Another scream pierced Andreth's ears. Now it looked like the elf figure was hanging motionless from the wooden log. The orcs were laughing and pointing Amreth's body. Sudden rush of swift moving air started to take Andreth away from her sister. There was dark and silence surrounding Andreth in a one breath. Andreth cried: "Noooo." Then she opened her eyes.
