The bells rang as Kristophor woke up, the cell was cold and a slight breeze ran through the barred windows. He rose to a sit and felt the pain in his right eye, he reaches to touch it then noticed he was chained. He couldn't see anything through his right eye, a bandage was wrapped around it. He took a moment to look around, it was quiet, no guards or anything. He rested against the wall and looked at the ceiling.."why.." he wondered. He shook his head and looked forward one more as three knights led by the knight commander entered the prison. They stood in front of his cell, one knight cleared his throat And spoke as the others glared down at Kristophor "Kristophor Dulock, you are here by charged with treason, disobeying a direct order, and assault on your fellow knight. You are sentenced to death by hanging biblically. By order of the knight commander." He lowered the scroll "this is effective immediately." The knight commander nodded "seize him." The knights entered the cell and lifted Kristophor, they unlocked his shackles and dragged him. As he left the prison the sun was bright and blinding, he could hear the yelling of the city people as they threw rotten vegetables at him. The knights tried to keep them calm, some knights glaring at Kris as he passed, some seemed saddened. Kristophor was finally brought to the noose. He looked around at the yelling crowd, he noticed at a balcony his own family..his father looked emotionless and so did his mother. They seemed content at watching their son hang. A knight began to put the noose around his neck. "Any last words?". Kristophor looked briefly and nodded " I regret nothing..I did my duty. My duty was to protect the free people..i did so." The knight shook his head and helped Kristophor to the correct spot. The knights in the crowd suddenly began to struggle to hold back the crowd..commoners, laborers and farmers began to flood into the courtyard with shovels and hoes. The knights did there best to hold them back but the people pushed harder and harder. A knight ran to the commander "They threaten to riot if we hang Kristophor sir..more and more flood in, they also threaten to stop supplying goods to the city. What can we do?" The commander growled and looked to Kris as they began to hang him. Kris was pushed off the stool and began to choke, he watched as the people began to fade. The commander sighed and nodded to his knights, one went and cut down Kris from the noose. The nobles screamed as they saw him fall and the commoners cheered. The commander walked by, sending a kick into Kristophor's gut as he passed. He called to the people "The punishment has been changed! Kristophor Dulock will now be banished from the kingdom of Gondor. Never to return!" The people fell silent and spoke, some left. They dragged Kris off the stage and to the gate. Kris found his feet and pushed away "I can walk.." He began to slowly walk, he coughed as he did so. The nobles cursed at him and yelled, still throughing rotten food. Kris approached closer to the gate and the commoners were more present, they reached and touched Kristophor's shoulders as he passed them..they thanked him and some even shedded tears as he passed them. He stood outside the gate, the commander approached "you're a dishonored warrior..you should hide that face. Hide that face for the people you failed!" He threw a rag at Kristophor's face. The commander and knights turned to reenter the city and shut the gate. Kris picked up the rag, he then tied it around his face..he turned and looked down the path, he began to walk slowly. He walked for miles, making small camps. On one night he heard a horse, he grabbed a heavy stick, ready to fight. A hooded man approached and got off the horse. He carried a sheathed sword, wrapped in a greed cloth and chainmail, pinned with a silver tree. The man took off his hood and Kris relaxed, it was a knight "Kristophor...im sorry, many of is are but we couldn't do anything. Kris shook his head "don't be..i chose my path." The sorrow full knight nodded and handed Kris the sword "I went to your home...found this in Caliko's room behind a wall..your parents were getting rid of the Room, it had a tag addressed to you so i thought he intended it to you. You still server gondor well so I thought you deserved this as well..some protection." Kris bowed his head and took it, he looked the sword over, it was light but long. He looked up at the knight as the knight spoke. "Where will you go?" Kris looked to the stars "North..I will find my old friends and continue helping people." The knight nods "I wish you luck and hope you return one day.." Kris nodded to him "one day." The knight then turned to leave but looked back "really going to wear a mask?" Kris sighed and turned placing the sword down "I am honorless..i still failed people. I have no right to show my face anymore. One day maybe I'll regain my honor." The knight sighed and mounted his horse "you have honor Kris.." Kris turned to pack camp up. He strapped the sword over his back and put the chainmail and cloth on his shoulders. He pinned it with the tree "Not to myself..i need to prove it." Kris turned and kicked dirt on the fire, he began to walk down the path "Bree.." he mumbled as he walked down the path.
