Rambles

I observe a lot, After spending so much time with the elves I feel I view the world differently. Even though the answers I received from the elves were grim, stating that I have a shortened life. They say I am lucky, lucky my wound was only on my eye. I hear voices, voices that won't leave me. I have gotten used to it I suppose, Keep myself busy with the people and my experiments. I don't recognize any of these faces from when I last was in Bree, everyone is new to me. But still, they are all the same..dramatic and always having issues. Now talks of pirates, the people here laugh about it but I for one am uneasy. They find comfort in making jokes of these pirates but I fear that they only fuel a fire by doing so, I will have to keep an eye out, I for one know first hand the damage these sea brigands can cause especially in numbers. Many Elves have been in Bree as well, odd thing really. I previously only knew of two, my old friend and the one always by the door. Doesn't bother me but is interesting. I noticed many staring at me, fearing I am a brigand because of the mask, I've gotten used to the stares I also stare so I can not be hypocritical. I saw a peculiar boy, very spiteful, harassing a smaller child. Though I believe he does so because he is insecure himself. He had a woman with him as well, she was quite rude, odd how she let the boy push her around with not fighting back. This was obvious, no need to be as observant I to see it, but maybe I am wrong, she may just be looking out for him as well...a sister of sorts! Anyways I Met a young farm girl as well, seemed to be fond of an ill tempered man from Dale, though I feel the man only loses his temper because of the prying of his Elf friend, who knew some elves could be so..bothersome. Not my business to interject in their personal dispute but I much rather avoid a brawl, that would mean the watch comes and then chaos will ensue.  I should stop writing, go back to my experiments, much to do.
