Notice by the High Court and Council of Gondor
The man named Ortellus Falheim, son of Agravain Falheim and Mercy Rowley, Eorl of the Redhall and Knight of Karthmere, has been subjected to treason for an attempt at legitimising his fake noble heritage and the murder of Davind Redweller. Aegar Wintermoore has returned with evidence that Ortellus Falheim led the Blood Arbiters against Karthmere and destroyed his father's legacy, along with that of the old Eorl of Winterhelm, Eodain Wintermoore. Despite our past relations with House Wintermoore, The Feifdom of Gondor is willing to allow the village of Karthmere to swear fealty to our beloved nation, in return for the assumption of nobility of the new Eorl, Aegar Wintermoore.
Those closely related to or caught helping Sir Ortellus shall receive the same just punishment as their infamous leader. Those willing to oust them shall be rewarded.
Our gratitude for Eorl Aegar seeing sense and reason leads us to believe that he played no part in the formation of the Blood Arbiters as they left for the North following Sir Ortellus, and that we were entirely wrong about House Wintermoore.
By decree of Eorl Aegar Wintermoore, Ortellus Falheim of the Redhall shall be subjected to trial at the High Court before punishment at Karthmere. Dethas Manswell, a former comrade of Sir Ortellus, states that he will support House Wintermoore in the trial and act as the prosecutor for the trial in the name of Eorl Aegar whilst he attends matters at Wintermoore Keep, formerly Redwatch keep, in Karthmere:
"I've followed House Falheim since the revolt of Karthmere. The Eorl of Redhall, Ortellus, had us believe that he was the successor of the great Agravain, and that the Blood Arbiters supported the Dark Lord himself. We have reenlisted the Blood Arbiters into our homesteads and town watch and the Knights of Winterhelm have been reformed. Ortellus is a traitor... And now all may see him as he perishes, including the foul, zealous naves that follow his lead. Down with Redhall, and down with House Falheim!" - says Dethas Manswell of Karthmere
The new Eorl of Karthmere, Wintermoore (Redwatch) keep and the reformed Knights of Winterhelm, Aegar Wintermoore, says:
"Ortellus, has incited a band of naer do wells against my people. Despite what Sir Manswell states it was Agravain Falheim, nay, ALL Falheims, who was at fault when they usurped the Eorldom of Karthmere. Now, we are subjected to Gondorian Law, and that means that the traitor can finally be put down for his crimes. Most people originally believed that it was me, my father or even Davind Redweller who created the Blood Arbiters. Nay, it was false, and the Falheims have been ruling, living a lie. Death to them all. The only reason I went into hiding was because I... Was loyal to Gondor and the free peoples all along, of course...."
Sir Aricus Davenport, another former member of Redhall, states,
"We lived a lie within the Honour Guard, and now the truth is open for the whole of Gondor to see. Ortellus played as a good man when he was naught but a traitor and a coward. He hung his banners high and claimed right to the town of Karthmere, as if it was his own. The flag of Redhall dared to blow in the Karthian wind again and he had the cheek to approach us with an offer to JOIN him! The Aldran runt and a few others did, of course, still believing his lies. I, for one, do not."
Ortellus Falheim of the Redhall is expected to arrive in the White City by a fortnight to face trial, or be branded a traitor and brigand until the day he is hunted down, and he will be known as such thereafter.
Karthmere has been subjected to Gondorian Laws hereafter.
We shall reach a verdict, and if found guilty, he shall be punished for his crimes:
- Murder of Davind Redweller
- Assumed murder of his mother, Mercia Rowley, his brother, Percival Falheim, and his father, Agravain Falheim
- Shirking his duty and faking death in times of war
- Leading and forming bands of brigands known as the Order of Redhall and former Blood Arbiters
- Attempt of invasion of Karthmere
- Plotting against Gondor
