The Barrow Downs Expedition, Day II
We have made our first steps in our journey towards the the Barrow Downs, but not without incident. Brigands stopped us upon the road; two scruffy looking men with bloodlust in their eyes. The larger of the two had a crude dagger in hand and a nasty scowl. The smaller man was stood further back with a makeshift bow.
They began demanding a toll to pass through "their" road. When we declined, they became violent. Before the smaller man had a chance to loose an arrow, Kirseth had seen to it that he never would again, as her own arrow had pierced him between the eyes.
The larger man charged recklessly and I cut him down before he had a chance.
I do not enjoy having to kill a man, but it was something that had to be done.
We continued our journey and are currently encamped in the southern fields of Bree-land.
I am to be on watch duty tonight which suits me just fine, I barely sleep as it is anyway.
