North Downs Campaign: Beginnings
| Date: | May 30th, 2015 |
|---|---|
| Time: | 2:00 PM Rally & Recruitment | 3:00 PM Departure for North Downs (EST/GMT-5/servertime) |
| Location: | Training Hall, Bree-town |
Event details:
Sentries serving patrol in Northern Eriador have reported increased enemy activity in the North Downs. The Northern Garrison fears that the newly established Orc and Hillmen fortification in Dol Dinen will serve as a strategic point for enemy legions to launch offensives from the Ettenmoors.
The Northern Garrison encamped in Bree will require the assistance of local militia and warriors in an offensive to defeat this fortification. Officers of the Garrison have already secured commitments with several kin within Bree; they are now expanding this request to willing individuals who have respectable combat experience.
Officers of the Garrison will be in Bree-town's Training Hall on Saturday, May 30 to evaluate and consider last-minute recruits for this North Downs Campaign. Interested individuals may commit in advance through contacting Kristjon Eiriksson, Lord Commander of the Garrison. The united company will depart for the Esteldin the same evening.
All those who ally themselves to this campaign are expected to heed the orders and leadership of Garrison officers.
This is the first part of a multi-week story-driven epic. Activities involved include immersive gameplay, lore, and RP based elements.
We wish to make this epic as F2P-friendly as possible, so all activities within this campaign are PvE (non-instance). In order to accommodate level differences, we will require the use of inferior armour and/or weapons for level 40+ - albeit, at a later time. (One of the future events will involve crafting these "inferior" weapons once we have entered into the North Downs).
Each event is designed to incorporate a specific practical, fellowship-based gameplay tactic. We expect those in participation to respect the orders of those designated for leadership. Sentries of the Northern Garrison, as a kinship, follow a strict leadership code that we wish to maintain that throughout this campaign. Leroy Jenkins need not apply ;). This week's tactic is escorting a company PvE.
We are always happy to welcome new members to our kinship, but please note that this is not a recruitment posting. The use of the words "recruit" and "enlist" are just for the purposes of the story. We welcome all respectful, RP-friendly adventurers to join in this campaign!
