Taala sat in Neyaa's garden, her young half brother Branston was playing with the dog, Orgel. He stopped to show Taala his wooden horse, a gift from Fastdred, that he has favoured since it was gifted to him. At that moment, Taala picked up her sketchbook and captured the joy on her brother's face.
Branston was proclaimed "The Bastard of the Dawn" by his natural father Hardoleth, who is also Taala's father.
Branston has been adopted by Deredan] Enimrath, the man, his mother, [[Neyaa is betrothed to, and he has named him Branston Enimrath, his son and heir.
Neither Neyaa or Deredan will ever deny their son, knowledge or recognition of who his birth father is. Already, the young boy is told stories about Hardoleth, whose memory is still held dear to Neyaa.
((I am the artist - this is my first attempt at drawing freehand, my first attempt at drawing a child and only the second time I've used Charcoal. LOT's of errors, but at least I captured how I picture Bran))
