Captain's Quick Report:  Bullroarer Took Day

Well hoho!  Would you believe that I'm still here in the Shire, just south of the Brockenborings and the Greenfields?  And that a mere hour ago, Hobbits were dancing and merrily singing the concluding tunes to end their famous 'Bullroarer Took Day'?

And what a host of bands and musicians did they have lined up to play, nearly one after another, the entire day, and well into the night!  With the exception of course, of a few. Such as the riveting and honored poem-speech (but more a tale of grand epic) from the famous Master Simbo, doing perhaps this Bullroarer Took fellow the highest of justice, and credit, to their legacy that the Hobbits across the land hold in great regard and memories.  It appears Master Peppy Bristlebrush was the main speaker throughout the celebration, announcing each band as they walked forward to stand atop the wall to play, and also providing the opening and closing speeches for the event overall.

The event and celebration has concluded, though there is a final part to it all which is taking place right now at the Plough and Stars, back in the Brockenborings, as I write this early report upon the day's festivities.  I felt it might be overstepping the hospitality and comfort of the Little Folk to venture into a more private gathering such as that, being the Tall Folk that I was -- so I abstained and moved onwards to begin the journey home to Bree (though I've stopped here for the moment in Scary to pen this early report and gather together some of my draft drawings and sketches to send to the Grey Repository), and besides, there is so much to think upon, to write, and to share, surrounding this Bullroarer Took Day!  But alas, that will have to come upon a later date, when a more concise and lengthly report can be managed by me for submission to the Archives proper.

For now, I shall attach several sketches and drawings I made throughout the celebrations, and send forth from here this early, and preliminary report; to supplement the Archives immediately on this event, from this humble Captain of Bree's perspective.  Make no mistake, Master Reader; the songs, dance, and cheer these outgoing (or also gentle) Hobbits infused forth into this celebratory day, from start to finish, can never be done full credit through these mere sketches and drawings I was able to have scribbled down.  In the words of some of my colleagues back at the Bree Captain's Guild offices, when we oft share stories of our business abroad;

"You should have been there, to see it!  Hohoho!"

Signed,

Captain Naismithea Willarc

Watcher of Roads
Representative of the Bree Captain's Guild
Officer of the Sworn Wanderers

(( I've borrowed the music track heard here from A Hobbit's Journal - Once A Took, Always A Took!, a journal entry by Amorey also written just today. Kudos and credits to embedding it there in the first place, it was such a lovely track I thought it fitting to let it play here too! But do visit A Hobbit's Journal - Once A Took, Always A Took! to do the music proud of where it was originally shared first, here on LA.  Amorey's entry also happens to be partly dedicated to Bullroarer Took Day! ))
