Unknown rescuer

Weeks have passed since Perdol blacked out from her ordeal in Goblin town jail. She wakes to find herself in Rivendell not knowing who rescued her from the pit of torture. Last she remembers is feeling someone picking her up and hurling her over their shoulder. Then darkness again...

Opening her eyes to very bright sunlight and her face still swollen from the torture the goblin's had repeatedly made her endure every day while she was chained to a cave wall, she sees two figures before her only to witness one leave quickly from her room.  A low mellow speaking male voice starts to welcome her to Rivendell. She can't see who is speaking to her. Her eyes hurt from the sunlight that pours in from the large windows. Then the male's voice asks that the windows are covered to make the room darker. Perdol hears footsteps of two others run in and move about the room. She feels the light wind of the movement and tries to open her eyes wider to get a better look at where she is then she sees him. Lord Elrond standing in front of the large door. Perdolreth starts to stand as to give a bow to Lord Elrond but he motions to her to be still... Your wounds need more time to heal young one, "Lord Elrond says", you may stay here as long as you need. Do you remember anything that happened while you were being held captive? Perdol thinks back to where she was before they had caught her. Her thoughts still clouded from her, she shakes her head no, she hangs her head, then Lord Elrond says, "In time, maybe, but for now rest is more important for you." One of the female elves comes in with a bowl of water and clean bandages then another with clean clothing. Lord Elrond leaves as they enter the room. He tells his guard to stay close by the door and asks that after the others leave to keep all out for the night.

That evening Perdolreth has a nightmare of the battle that she had with the goblins before she was taken captive. Screams are heard through her room and the guard bolts through the door only to find Perdol on the floor. More guards and the two female elves enter and help place Perdol back in her bed. Each looking at the other wondering what horror was done to Perdol. Lord Elrond is told about her dream in the morning...

Several weeks more have passed and Perdolreth's wounds are all about healed fully. She sits at the water fall watching it as in a trance like state. The guard stands more at a distance now then he used to...she still sees him. She wonders if the guard is there for her or for them? Her nightmares still continued...each one had the figure of her rescuer. No face to who he was or even which race. Only that he saved her.
