A Blackwold’s daughter revealed…
Chaney felt herself becoming angrier, and felt like a fox backed into a corner by the pack of hounds. It was pointless, almost as though the fox already new its fate but would step up to the plate and fight its hunters anyway even though it knew certain death was upon it.
This was how Chaney felt about the situation now. Surrounded by these three people. Fiontann, Taala, and the former Blackwold Brammy.
At one point it was something that Taala would say that made Chaney go completely feral, grab her by the throat and slam her backwards.
The force of this making Taala fall to the ground in anger herself. If it were not for Fiontann and Brammy holding them back they would have gone at it like two ferocious wolves.
Taala was livid, her throat hurting from the strength of the grip, cursing Chaney for what she had done. Gasping and shouting Brammy would only just hold her at bay.
Fiontann grabbed Chaney with all his strength, picked her up, and marched her out of the Dawn Hall kicking and screaming. He carried her over to the place where only a few evenings ago now the former great leader of The Bloody Dawn, Hardoleth, had been buried. He ignored the pain shooting up his arms, and down his sides as she lashed out wildly.
He threw her to the floor against a copse of trees close to the former leader's grave, and stood poised ready for anything that she may throw at him, be it steel or otherwise. His face almost saddened in the fact that he had done so much to help this girl, only for it to fall apart right in front of his eyes.
Somehow he managed to calm her enough so as to talk with her, and attempt to find out why she had acted the way she did. He explained to her that they had only just buried Taala’s father some nights ago now.
Amongst sobbing tears of anger and pain Chaney explained about her past life as a Blackwold growing up in their camps. About how three years ago Brammy had joined their camp at the time of her father’s murder and her subsequent fleeing.
Fiontann promised her that with careful planning she would get her revenge, but now was not the time for that. Now was a time of bridge building between two young women of the Dawn. He held Chaney in his arms and comforted her for as long as she required.
Chaney looked across at Taala whom had by now followed them to her fallen father’s grave. She was wanting to talk with her but could not find the words just yet to express how sorry she was for what she had done. Taala would turn on horseback and leave the scene…….
