Redwick King(One night's length)

Redwick sat upon the throne in Edoras and then he knew that he was king of the Riddermark. All the folk of Edoras came to greet him and gift him with more mead than any man could drink in his entire life time; lords came from distant realms and they too gifted Redwick with the finest mead from their homes and this greatly pleased Redwick. He looked upon all those who served him and his smile was broad, he raised his hand, 'Let the kingdom of Rohan know that tonight we drink till no man, nor woman, nor child stands!' and thus the folk of Rohan began sip tankards of mead. There was a lordly look in his face as he watched the first tankards emptied.

Beside him stood his fair queen - Therwen, no doubt - and she was clad in a white dress and she was so beautiful that Redwick often looked towards her, and thus a plan he conjoured. Redwick stood up and he commanded his folk, 'Silence!' And when the racket was ceased he continued, 'Let all the women in Edoras come forth and let them confess. Let them confess that Therwen is more fair and beautiful than all of you!' and it was done. The women of Edoras lined up at Therwen's feet and one by one they knelt before Therwen and deemed that she was more beautiful and this pleased Redwick even more, for in his mind Therwen truly was the most beautiful woman and he delighted in looking upon her.

As the night continued Redwick drank and ate till he could eat no more and when he had gone to bed he truly would sleep like a king and Therwen slept beside him on his kingly bed. He smiled to her and he thus closed his eyes to sleep...

...And when he opened his eyes his smile was so broad that when Therwen had stirred and looked to him and asked him, 'Red, what is it?'

                                                     'Naught, my fair queen.'

She chuckled at his sudden flattery and shook her head in amusement, she ruffled his hair and he laughed before turning to look upon the rest of his kingly room, and to his sudden dismay he was once more back in the little home where he and Therwen dwelt in Snowbourn.

...It was indeed a dream...
