9 years before my father's friend walked to me, when I washed our horse at the back of the farm. His face was so sad and carried something in his hand. Looked at me and started to cry.
"Why are you crying? What happened?" - asked him
He pulled me closer and hugged me tight.
"Your parents and your brother...their car crashed in The Shire...I'm sorry Edel, so sorry..."
I looked up at him and couldn't believe what he told me. I started to hit him with my small hands and shouted at him.
"No! It's not true, where is my family?!"
He just hugged me and didn't let me go, till I calm down in his arms. He put my mother's necklace into my hand and kissed my forehead.
I can remember my beautiful mom. Her hair was long and red like mine, she was so kind and took care about our family. My father was a great farmer, most people knew him around Bree and The Shire too. My brother, who always wanted to take care of me, stop me to do silly things and he was angry always when I went out and jumped down from cliffs into the water.
I miss them so much. I miss my mom's hugs and her kind words to me. I miss how my father looked at me, with lot of love and how he put his hand on my face and told me:
"You are my princess little Edel."
I miss my brother so much, my best friend and I miss the time what we spent together.
*Closing her diary and looking around, sighs a big and smiling*
"Now this is my family. Falarthin, our child and the others in the Dawn."
