Dear Diary (year 17 late Spring)

Dear Diary,

We went to visit Gaffer Gamgee today, he has an early crop of Bluebottles blooming in his garden. I know how much Mum loves them.

He was only too pleased to let me have a dozen of them, 'Anythin fer yer Mam' He said.

Popsy was hoping he'd give her a honey treat like last time. She was disappointed when he gave her a flower, she was grinning from ear to ear when he told her it was for her to give to Mum.

Popsy did a great job clearing the long grass away from the marker stone, I only had to show her the difference between the grass and the Celendine three times.

She cleared the area wonderfully. I only helped a little.

Those Bluebottles look so pretty against Mum's stone.

Today is a remembering day
