Chapter seven: Midnight Visit
Thud, thud, thud.
One day. He had gotten back from a patrol one day ago.
Thud, thud, thud.
It had been a warm day. Now it was raining again.
THUD, THUD, THUD!
That's should be enough. The Elf outside must be soaked by now.
Thendryt opened the door to his house. Outside was an Elf, whose facial expression could very well scare Goblins out of their caves. Thendryt looked at the Elf, smiling. He was completely soaked. And by the look of him, this was the last place he wanted to be in the middle of the night.
"Lord Morson, I bear message from the council." The Elf said and handed him a letter.
"At this hour?" Thendryt took the parchment. The Elf bowed and turned around.
Thendryt closed the door behind him as the Elf walked away in the rain. He removed the seal and read:
Lord Thendryt
Firstly let me welcome you back to Imladris, it's good to see the Warband of Hiril Elisbeth strong in spirit. I have a small request for you which comes directly due to Hiril Elisbeth and Hir Khalis being out the Vale on Council business. I need you to find the brother and sister Aeradin and Killandra Greymare, long standing Maethor of the Warband. They are required to come to Imladris to speak with myself. The matter cannot be explained simply across a letter, thus the request.
Regards
Hir Nystal Torvale
Killandra and Aeradin? Why? Elisbeth and Khalis out of the Vale? He had received no word of this. Something was going on. He didn't know what but he was sure he'd get the information sooner or later. Thendryt went to his bedroom, got dressed and picked up his traveling cloak on his way out.
He needed to travel to Bree.
